What a wonderful day Ks1 have had today visiting cleethorpes in the glorious sunshine 🌞. We enjoyed exploring the beach, a paddle in the sea , a train ride finished off with an ice cream. What a lovley way to end the year linked to our last topic all about seaside.
Today our children took part in a range of football games against a number of teams and played with sportsmanship and skill. So proud of you all and your achievements today. You are all so supportive of one another. Well done.
It is so lovely to see our children taking care of the environment, the children are getting the willow domes in shape. Well done everyone.

Wow what an amazing day we’ve had at Cleethorpes. The sun was shining and we had the best time ever! We paddled in the sea, went on a train ride and even enjoyed an ice cream on the beach.

What an incredible day at Wentworth Woodhouse for our House Treat. Team Scholes really embraced the day despite the heat and tired legs on our return to school. We explored the gardens, played games and even had an ice-cream. Well done all and good luck next year.

Mr Robins’ Dad has supported our Environment club with identifying weeds and new plants in our outdoor area. The children have been so grateful for his help and advice and of course making sure they are watered on Fridays.
Today we were so lucky to have KCM visit our children to talk all things waste. The children asked some fabulous questions and explored recycling. Our eco monitors were very excited to hear what happens when they recycle.
Our Teachers have loved their physical education lesson with Mr Purshouse this evening. Developing their skills in a range of sports across the curriculum. We can’t wait to try these out with our children. Teachers love learning too.
In Y2 this week we are continuing our work in textiles. We have been practising our running stitch onto fabric so that we can put this onto our bag design.
Our Year 6s had an incredible day on Friday at the Willow Tree Olympics. All children enjoyed spending time with each, getting to know one another and taking part in a range of sporting events. Thank you to our incredible sports leaders across the academy for organising a fantastic day.
This week we enjoyed learning all about capacity. We went outside and used different containers to measure water in millilitres and litres.

Children in 1/2B have really enjoyed taking part in the ‘Picture This’ artwork initiative. Y1 created movement fish and Y2 were inspired by climate art to demonstrate movement in their superb outcomes 🎨
