In Foundation 2 something mysterious has happened, all of the books have been stolen. I think our children need their detective eyes on to solve the crime. Good Luck F2.
A wonderful celebration assembly this week sharing some outstanding learning. We have really enjoyed our reading focus this week and congratulations 4D on winning the Head Teachers Award this week for your enthusiasm and passion for reading. Thank you Mrs Rawson for our beautiful learning environment and winning staff star of the week.
We have been learning a new trigraph today, ‘air’. Look at our amazing hot air balloons.
We have enjoyed exploring various WW2 texts in our IRE. Oscar and Mark love the reading space so much that you can just see their legs and bodies as they have gotten themselves very comfortable.
Cross Curricular links have gone wild this week, the children have been completing guided drawing in handwriting of the mail coach. We have been learning history using our class test the Jolly Postman.
Our children in Rockingham Early Years have shown their enthusiasm for learning as soon as they enter our Early Years. The children have really enjoyed all the creative opportunities that have been planned.
KS1 got immersive in our literacy lesson today to help us with ideas for onomatopoeia 🎭

Our Year children are in preparation for their residential to Stratford this term. They are currently learning all about William Shakespeare. They have found out a lot of information about him as a boy and his birthplace.
Today we celebrated our children’s learning and wished them all a happy new year. We are so proud of how they have settled and used their resilience and determination to be successful learners.

Today we have awarded a Hilary Ford Reading Champion from every class. A child that reads consistently and has made excellent progress this term. We are so proud of you all.

This year our KS1 children have created a fabulous production of a Midwife Crisis. The children performed beautifully, the singing, dancing and acting were phenomenal. We are so proud of you all and hopefully we will be back to performing live next year with our incredible parents.

Look who arrived in our classroom today. It’s Cookie the Elf. We had to read his letter, give him a name and then we made him a picture gallery. We can’t wait to see what he gets up too and we can’t wait to write some letters to him and Santa.
