Special Mentions Assembly, today we celebrated all our winners of this week sharing their outstanding learning and positive behaviours. Congratulations everyone we are so proud of you. Foundation 2 also made a special appearance for their first assembly in preparation for Year 1.
In our guided reading this week, each group read some seaside poems and discussed our favourites before choosing one to perform as a group 🌊
The year 4 children enjoyed their time in the library this afternoon. Our year 6 librarians did a fantastic job at explaining what to do and recommending books.
We took immersive reading to the next level! While we were in Eyam, we read another chapter of the ‘Children of Winter’ – a story set in Eyam about The Great Plague. It felt really special and we all connected with the story and it’s characters even more.

On our first day of the new term, 3WB walked to Greasbrough Library. We enjoyed learning about the library and all it has to offer. Some of us even checked out our own books! We enjoyed our visit and can’t wait until it’s our turn again!

Y2S have had a wonderful morning sharing stories and learning with their families. It is so lovely to share all the achievements from the year so far and the smiles on everyones faces were wonderful to see.
We are so excited to contnue our Literacy/Oracy project with Tanghu Elemnatary School in Chengdu. The children have produced some outstanding stories through story telling. We can’t wait to share our vidoes with you too. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and we love working together and sharing our expereinces.
4D had a great time at the library reading books and sharing stories. We can’t wait to go back soon.

Y5 enjoyed their trip the library this morning. We signed up to become a member at our local library and had fun reading some new books.
So proud of all of our children entering the poetry slam. Every child across both classes performed fantastically. Here are our four winners who went through to perform at the Civic. We are so proud of your performance skills.
Today we were blown away by the learning of all Children, their behaviour, attitude and learning is fantastic . The way they applaud each other and celebrate their success is lovely to see. Our school really is the best in the world.

Our Year 5/6 children loved their visit to the library this morning. After two years we are finally back having our weekly visits for all classes. It’s lovely to see them returning to school with a new book.
Our Year 5 children are really enjoying their Shakespeare learning especially their drama performance of Romeo and Juliet, we can’t wait to see this develop over the term and watch the final performance.
What a fabulous special mentions assembly, they get longer every week as we have so much to celebrate. The children have had yet another phenominal week and achieved so much with their learning outcomes, attitide to learning and confidence.
