Our children have created a wonderful video to share with our friends at Abbey School, it has been so lovely to make connections and complete a NEMESIS project together. The children in both schools have made new friendships, learnt new skills and grown in confidence.

Today we celebrated the 50th year of Earth day by dressing in green and making our own pledges to look after the precious world that we live in. We then made a class pledge by putting our pledges down on a class charter.
Thank you Mrs Elliott for bringing Phoenix and Prescott in for us to meet. 6B now all want a class goat to look after. Even Mrs Buttree held Prescott today.

Y6B have enjoyed visiting our Hens this week, the children have loved checking the nest box for eggs and supporting with the cleaning and caring of our battery chickens. The children have been learning about the life cycle and care of animals. We can’t wait to have the goats in next week.
After cutting the sod our journey in developing our very own Nurture Provision hits the Advertiser. The children are really enjoying being involved in our Nemesis project and making a difference to the local community. Our children have loved coming back after Easter to their new Reading Environments. It’s been wonderful seeing the children fully immersed in the class texts. I can’t wait to hear all about your reading.

Today our Year 6 children enjoyed their meeting with Los Albares to discuss our NEMESIS projects and shared our experiences of lockdown. Both children enjoyed finding out the similarities and differences between the two counties. We can’t wait for our next meeting.
This week we have had some fantastic discussions around our mind. The children came up with some really impressive questions and we have discussed all be we voted for one to pursue further which was ‘Where do your thoughts come from?’ We have shared this with parents in 6B to give their perspective too.
