Today in school we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our live learning sessions with Miss Darby and Mr Parkin. Guided Reading and Numeracy were fabulous with lots of children accessing the sessions. It’s been wonderful spending time with our children in school.
Today we celebrated children who have shown resilience beyond believe this year and overcoming barriers to learning to make sure they succeed. Continuing to learn even when bubbles have closed and school had closed embracing every second of 2020. We are proud of you all.
A huge thank you to Mr Parkin for a wonderful extravaganza this afternoon. We all had such a wonderful time and the children learnt so much information about a variety of different subjects, well done everyone.
Today we showcased our performance of Cinderella Rockerfella, including all of our KS2 children and some surprise staff dances, singing and performances. Thank you to Miss Tyzack for creating such a fabulous video to share with our children and families. We are so proud of you all.
The UK Parliament engagement team delivered a fabulous assembly to our KS2 children. They introduced how parliament works, what MPs do, the role of the House of Lords and how laws are made. Thank you so much our children thoroughly enjoyed it.

5P have had a fantastic couple of weeks with their learning linked to space. Last week they researched an area of space with a partner and then contributed to a document together. This week they then went in front the camera and presented their learning on the green screen.
Ordering Numbers This morning we went outside for our maths learning. We initially started with an active maths challenge liked to times tables before our ordering activity. We had lots of different challenges and we could only move onto the following challenge if we had correctly ordered the cones correctly.

Our Year 5s have had a Google Meet this morning to discuss crowdfunding and ways to support raising money for the Leaf Centre. We will be developing these further in our next meeting on Friday. Thank you everyone for your fabulous ideas and creativity. We can’t wait to share them with you.
Today we had our second meeting with Abbey School sharing our amazing artwork and shops. Thinking about creating a high street of the future. We had some wonderful ideas and some flying cars and drones. Amazing learning everyone we can’t wait to share our jingles in September.
