What an incredible day at Wentworth Woodhouse for our House Treat. Team Scholes really embraced the day despite the heat and tired legs on our return to school. We explored the gardens, played games and even had an ice-cream. Well done all and good luck next year.

KCM visits to discuss waste management.
Today we were so lucky to have KCM visit our children to talk all things waste. The children asked some fabulous questions and explored recycling. Our eco monitors were very excited to hear what happens when they recycle.

Today, 1/2B used our cross-curricular DT and literacy skills to create fruit kebabs in the classroom. We evaluated some examples and learned the correct cutting techniques before designing and creating our tasty treats. What would we add next time? More fruit! Tomorrow we will begin creating instructions… 🍎

Rockingham Celebrates the Jubilee
On Thursday we celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a Rockingham Garden party. We had singing, dancing and parades all around. Our families arrived in style and we celebrated with an outdoor picnic, marking 70 years of the Queen’s reign.

On Friday we took 30 KS1 children to the institute of sport. It was a fantastic day full of sporting activities and it allowed our children to shine through their sporting abilities. They were a credit to our school.
