Today, 1/2B reflected on our sketchbook pattern designs to make a clay tile. We used precision clay tools to carefully recreate our design 🎨🧑🏻🎨
Mrs Elliott is really enjoying her morning drop in sessions, our children love arriving early and getting ready for learning.
Today 1/2B had a colour scavenger hunt and a colour code challenge. Afterwards, we needed a quick conga line (to a banana song) before testing out our new 1 minute maths app 🍌🍌🍌
A wonderful celebration assembly this week sharing some outstanding learning. To understand Jewish Celebrations, 1/2B respectfully found out about the special meal called Shabbat. We had an alternative, immersive version with bread and cordial (instead of red wine) 🍽

Today KS1 were lucky to have an opportunity to engage with the Bollywood-Carnatic Progression Project. We enjoyed some dynamic, live music and practised clapping along to the beat 🎶
Today we joined in with a Bollywood music session with the Rotherham Music Service. We enjoyed listening to music from another culture.
We enjoyed our outdoor maths session. We drew equal and unequal parts of a shape to help us with our learning on fractions.
KS1 got immersive in our literacy lesson today to help us with ideas for onomatopoeia 🎭
In Y2, the children explored how we could split a range of shapes into even and uneven parts. We added labels to practice our maths vocabulary too! 🔢
1/2B enjoy a New Topic launch day for Towers, Tunnels and Turrets learning 🏰
Y2 children looked at the different materials used and the reason why their properties were suitable for purpose. We then discussed the difference between natural and man made materials 👨🔬👩🔬🔍

This week we enjoyed our first music lesson with the Rotherham Music Service. We looked at beat and rhythm and using our listening skills.
Today we celebrated our children’s learning and wished them all a happy new year. We are so proud of how they have settled and used their resilience and determination to be successful learners.
A huge thank you to RISE Dance company for an amazing first session today, our children have really enjoyed it and they certainly have learnt new skills. We can’t wait for next week.
Today we celebrated our attendance winners. We are so proud of all of the children. Especially achieving 100% under such difficult circumstances. Well done to all our dinners.
Today we have awarded a Hilary Ford Reading Champion from every class. A child that reads consistently and has made excellent progress this term. We are so proud of you all.

This Year the children have been involved in Strictly come dancing which has been phenomenal. Each class has worked together as a team to learn a class dance choosing a particular style of Dance.
