This week we have looked at artist Alma Woodsey Thomas and recreated our own pattern artwork . The children really enjoyed this work and created some lovely outcomes .
This week in 1M we have discussed our part in the world and how we can help look after it .
Today, we practiced working with a partner to co-ordinate and mirror some basic moves. The children were great at working collaboratively and really enjoyed their learning 🩰
This week, we started on story boards for our own cart👀n ideas. The children were really creative and enjoyed drawing out their cartoons ✍️
As part of our ‘sending and receiving’ PE lesson, we controlled the bounce of the ball and used this for passing to a partner.

Mrs Lilleyman and Mrs Sweeney just love History club. The children have really enjoyed learning about Ancient Egypt. They have been studying Mummification and the importance of Cats.

Today we have been learning about Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and what types of foods that they eat , we completed a venn diagram to show the animal groups and then Created a food plate to show what foods each group would eat .
Today we looked at examples of bird feeders to see what we thought a bird feeder should look like, before have no a go at making our own 👷♂️
This week we enjoyed looking at animal prints and patterns and creating our own using glitter and pastels.
In Cart👀n club today, we have been looking at famous duos before having a go at designing our own characters or duos 🎬
1M have used comic life to create a template for learning all about endangered Madagascan animals. We had so much fun researching some endangered animals including lemurs and Tomato frogs
1/2B used drama to retell creation stories as part of our RE learning about the world around us 🌎

This week we are looking at giving our partners some peer feedback on their independent writing piece about the characters from The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me.
Today in 1M we made some horses to share with Wentworth Woodhouse. We looked at our cutting skills, the features we needed to ensure we had- a mane, a tail, four hooves and a saddle . Great work 1M .
