Our Year 4/5 children are busy making Viking Longboats. They have been using a range of joining techniques to join materials together. We can’t wait to test them out.

Today, the children used chalk pastels to create a fire effect by buildings layers of colour and texture. We then created skyline silhouettes from our research of London in 1666.
Our Foundation children have been developing their science enquiry skills through their eggsperiment. They had some great discussions about the properties of materials and how to protect their eggs.

We celebrated all our achievements this week in Special Mentions, our Year 1 children are really development their computing skills. We have shown some fabulous design and technology skills within History. In Literacy the children have produced some high quality examples of learning. Well done everyone.
A huge congratulations to Ruby who has achieved the Headteachers Award this week. She has really matured into a wonderful young girl who works so hard and shows so much resilience towards her learning.

Our children have created a wonderful video to share with our friends at Abbey School, it has been so lovely to make connections and complete a NEMESIS project together. The children in both schools have made new friendships, learnt new skills and grown in confidence.

Our F2 children are so excited about our baby Chicks, we have seen little holes today and heard chirping sounds, not long left now. We hope they arrive safely.

Feeding the chickens is an absolute joy, although they did get somewhat excited when we opened the gate! Luckily, we had kind assistance from some of the older children and we were able to give them clean water and checked they had plenty of food.
Our children are so excited to see the changes that are happening daily to our LEAF centre – Leading Endeavours for Aspirational futures. We can’t wait to follow its journey and create a fabulous Nurture provision for the children of Rotherham.

Today in our booster club we looked at addition. We used concrete objects to add 2 numbers together. We are becoming much more confident with it now.

We love working with our Chinese partners as part of an international project.
