This week, we linked our knowledge of coastlines and Science to discuss life in rock pools. We researched different creatures and how they have adapted to live in a rock pool. There were some very interesting ways of keeping alive when the tide is out!

Today we used drama to immerse ourselves in character scenarios from our class text: The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me 🎭
Today we talked about having respect for ourselves, family, friends, community and our planet. We worked together in teams and really thought about our action and what things we love about our relationships with others.
Today we consolidated some of our topic learning on a visit to our local animal park and had a great adventure!
Our Morning drop in with Mrs Elliott has started and the children love being ready and on time for school. Our Nurture club continues to grow and our children love building their confidence and spending time together.
All of our children have received their Willow Tree Book bag which look amazing, the children have everything ready for an exciting year ahead. How wonderful do they look, we hope they take pride in their home learning and reading.
In Y2S the children have been starting close to home and developing their map skills through understanding their school environment. They have been on a tour of the school locating different places to highlight on their map. Using orientation and location skills.
Our children had the most wonderful time exploring the internet with a focus on Internet Safety. Ask them your questions on keeping safe on the internet.
A fabulous visit today to see the next stage of the build, looking carefully at the interior and room usage. Our new community room is going to be fabulous and a wonderful addition and support in our local area.

As part of our DT project, we designed, made and evaluated our own Olympic medals in Y1/2B. We decided our medals must have the Olympic rings and the goddess of victory, Nike. They should be shiny and durable. They could have a ribbon attached, to wear around the neck. 🏅
