Today we celebrated record of achievement day. We attended live lessons and reflected on our learning so far this year. Even though we are learning from home we have all achieved in some way including live lessons, expressing ourselves in mental health week, joining extra curricular activities and so much more!

In F1 this week it has been storytelling week. We have shared a number of traditional tales, looked at story mapping, retelling stories and creating finger puppets.
Over the last two weeks the children have been focussing on the eye and mouth when studying the face. The children have really enjoyed working with Miss Tyzack and the have really enjoyed their discussions within the group. Well done everyone.
Our challenge today was if I had 5 coins, what amount of money could I have? The children came up with a range of answers. Can you think of any that we missed?
In our music lesson today, we continued to practice moving to the beat of the music. Children are now reading a range of notes. We can also play our own musical (and improvised) instruments along to a piece of music.
These children took up Mr Pursehouse’s challenge as part of #childrensmentalhealthweek Well done girls, looks like a lot of fun!
Thank you so much to Mrs Oram and Charlotte for our Extra Curricular club this afternoon. The children loved making fruit kebabs and fruit salads. Some of our children even created artwork using the fruit. I think the teachers loved this too. I think you should have your own cookery show.
This week for Children’s mental health week we are taking part in a whole school art competition. We had a live lesson with Miss Stubbs and Miss Parkin to discuss our ideas.
Today we had a special visitor on our phonics lesson. Olaf joined in learning the i-e split diagraph. I hope he will now start to use it in his writing!
We had so much fun on our scavenger hunt around the house today with Mrs Lilleyman and Mrs Sweeney. Thank you both for our extra curricular fun.
