Art Club with Miss Stubbs
This week we began our art club by creating backgrounds using powder paint and watercolours. We are going to layer sea creatures on top of our back grounds.
VE Day with Y5/6H and 6B
We had the most wonderful celebration with our families taking part in singing, dancing and creating their own decorations. The children had a full day party planning and making their own food ready for the celebrations in the afternoon. A huge thank you to all the staff involved it was a huge success.
1M visit the library.
Today 1M loved going to Greasbrough library for a visit, we had a lovley walk through the community arrived and had a look around the library. Read some books and played some games. We then all made members and took out book to loan. We really enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to go back. […]

5/6H and 6B VE Day Baking with parents
To get ready to celebrate our topic ending about World War 2, we held a baking event with parents to prepare the food. We really enjoyed the event and have made some lovely food using recipes from the war. Thank you to the parents for coming to help!

Cosmic Yoga Y6
This morning before our assessments we relaxed with Yoga, the children really enjoyed cosmic yoga. This definitely put a smile on their face and alleviated any worries with laughter. We are so proud of you.
Y3WB Anti-Bullying workshop
Our Year 3 children really enjoyed working with Mrs Foxley Johnson last week and continued their learning. It is so lovely to hear their thoughts, feelings and next steps.

Textiles 🌊
In art this term we are looking at textiles. Today we used our sketchbook to recreate some repeating patterns and we looked at the work of some craft makers.
Anti-Bullying Workshop
We had our workshop with our special visitor Mrs Foxely-Johnson. We had a fantastic time learning all about friendship and how to stay kind in our world.

Maths through Orienteering in Y6B
Today we had the most exciting lesson exploring the outdoors in maths using orienteering as a tools to test our knowledge from this weeks learning. The children worked really hard in teams to calculate answers based on rounding, multiplication, division and fractions. Well done everyone.

Today we said an emotional goodbye to Mrs Burnett and we would all like to wish her the best for the future. You are going to be sadly missed.
Athletics at Willow Tree Academy
Today was our first inter academy competiton against Roughwood and Herringthorpe where Willow Tree children took part in Athletics competition.
