In our DT lesson this week, the children explored and evaluated a range of vegetables in preparation for soup making.
We tried a variety of raw and cooked vegetables, letting our senses help us with our evaluations. Using cocktail sticks to handle each item of food, we considered the smells, textures and flavours. We rated each vegetable out of 5- with some surprising favourites!
The children were very sensible and thoroughly enjoyed their taste testing experience.
We are so proud of the children for their learning. Not only were they were open to trying new things, they really considered their adjective choices so that they were appropriate for each food item.
