Our Year 6 children enjoyed spending the afternoon preparing the grounds for our new addition in the summer. They found so many frogs and managed to rescue them safely whilst having a wonderful science lesson with Miss Tunks.
Session 2 of our art workshop. The children are really enjoying designing their new shops for the future. Mrs Slack is going to work with the children to develop them into 3D textile projects.
Our F2 children have been inspired by the ducklings so much so they have completed some amazing artwork. Well done everyone, what a fabulous day!
Today during PE the children were involved in a range of activities/challenges as part of circuit training. Unfortunately there were no skipping ropes left for Mr Parkin. He had to improvise. Please see his video below. IMG_8606
Today the Children started to work on their NEMESIS art project ready for their next meeting with Abbey School. The children have some fabulous ideas and we can’t wait to share them with you.

It doesn’t get any more Magical than this, our F1 children and staff held a Mad Hatters Tea Party this week. All the children wrote invites, made posters, party hats and decorations. It looks like it was a huge success. Congratulations to all the staff, children and parents.

Our Year 6s have started to get creative and decorate our pond area with beautiful flowers. Making bonds and connections before they fly the nest and move on to their comprehensive schools. Watch this space for our raised beds and Chickens.

Y5’s have worked tremendously hard to produce their first piece of writing this week. Well done Jaydon, Charlie, Millie and Jacob on their presentation.
Y6s have been designing and drawing their own ‘Chalk Walks’ to make the playground more interactive whilst we all have to socially distance. We have started on the junior playground but the children will be completing more on the infant yard tomorrow.

For PSHE, Y3/4P looked at a poem written by Benjamin Zephaniah. We discussed the meaning of the poem on our Google Classroom and we related it to the current problems we have been seeing in the news. The children wrote an alternative paragraph of their own. Well done everyone.
Our Year 6 are learning all about the Heart and how it works using numeracy and science to explain how it pumps blood around the body using art as a vehicle for learning.
