Year 6 have been preparing for the RockFest on Tuesday. They have been organising their festival clothing by tie dying their T-shirt’s. We are so excited to celebrate their final week and amazing achievements!
Our NEMESIS team continued their Artwork and Textiles project developing their high street or the further. The 3D element is now coming to life. Well done everyone we are so proud of you and can’t wait to share them with Abbey School and see what wonderful things they have produced.
Today we set off on our awards deliveries again and managed to reach around 20 households sharing awards, certificates and reading our speeches. We’ve loved seeing all of our children’s beautiful faces and can’t wait to see them back in school in September. Congratulations everyone you make us all so proud!
Mrs Elliott’s group have continued their enterprise project today and worked hard on their textiles pictures and paintings to showcase what they think the shops will look like in the future. We have some interesting ideas and can’t wait to share the finished projects with you.

Today Mrs Elliott’s nurture group worked with Mrs Slack developing their NEMESIS projects. They have been transforming their Artwork into textiles shops. We can’t wait to see them finished. Well done everyone you’ve really developed new skills.

It doesn’t get any more Magical than this, our F1 children and staff held a Mad Hatters Tea Party this week. All the children wrote invites, made posters, party hats and decorations. It looks like it was a huge success. Congratulations to all the staff, children and parents.
Our Year 6s have started to get creative and decorate our pond area with beautiful flowers. Making bonds and connections before they fly the nest and move on to their comprehensive schools. Watch this space for our raised beds and Chickens.

Exploring the human bone structure through art. The children have created some amazing pencil sketches using tone.
Y6s have been designing and drawing their own ‘Chalk Walks’ to make the playground more interactive whilst we all have to socially distance. We have started on the junior playground but the children will be completing more on the infant yard tomorrow.

This afternoon our children were using the front cover of the text ‘Wonder’ to create our own artwork using own own beliefs. They were selecting colours that reflected themselves.
