Y4/5D visit the library

Y4/5D had a great morning visiting the library and reading lots of books. For some of the children in Y4/5D it was their first time visiting a library.

Character Descriptions

In Y4/5D we have been working extremely hard to describe the characters from the book ‘How To Train Your Dragon’. We have been working on our use of descriptive language and concentrating on our presentation.

Visit to Gainsborough Old Hall

Year 4 and 5 from Y4/5D and Y5P, have had a interesting day learning about the Tudors. They enjoyed getting into role and acting out a royal banquet for King Henry VII. They also learnt lots about what it was like to live in Tudor times.

Hockey skills Y4/5D

Yesterday in our PE lesson, we were focusing on developing our ball control skills. The children worked really well to hold the hockey stick with two hands and use the reverse stick method.

Science in Y4/5D

Today in science, the children carried out an experiment related to saturation points. The children predicted how many tea spoons of salt and sugar it will take before the water became saturated.

Drama in Y4/5D

Today in literacy, we have been acting out our setting descriptions. We used the language we had generated throughout the week to help us act out a scene.
