The children in Year 2 have been learning about the history of seasides and part of this learning focused on Punch and Judy shows. The children researched and then made their own sock puppets to act out their own show! Some children even made the stage. How amazing are these examples?
The children made their own clocks to use this week when we are continuing learning from when we were last in school. What fantastic clocks!
This week the Year 2 children in classes 1/2WB and 2KS have been thinking about staying safe when you are out and about. They chose their own scenario and designed a poster to give advice and messages to others to stay safe. Well done, these posters are great!

Mr Hanson and I had a wonderful learning walk around KS1, the children were extremely excited to show us their learning. There were children building forts in the sand, children dressing up in the Immersive reading area and children in the continuous provision.

His highly individual style was influenced by movements in art that included Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism. 2KS have been studying the artist particularly looking at his painting of a Castle which links directly to their topic.

# Classes 1/2WB and 2KS enjoyed a workshop from Mrs FJ about kindness. The children engaged in the story and learned a song. Some children were given a ‘secret kindness mission’ to carry out that day. The children represented KS1 brilliantly, well done.

Our Year 2 children have been busy making bird feeders that will be hung outside by Mr Clark. The children really enjoyed getting their hands dirty and were fully engaged in their learning. They are going to create a bird hide where they can take the binoculars out to observe the birds.

Our KS1 Children had a fabulous morning during their REAL project Tasty Toast celebrating the end of their topic. Well done everyone I hope you all enjoyed it.
For our REAL project this term we invited our grown ups into school to show them our tasty toast topping design. We chose from jam, chocolate, marmalade and butter to give to our grown ups. We enjoyed sharing our learning, it was a very successful morning!
