Today in phonics we learnt the new ‘ph’ sound. We finished off our session with a game of trash and treasure. We really enjoyed reading the ‘ph’ words.
Phonics Fun!
This week in phonics we learnt 3 new phase 5 sounds. We learnt ir, aw and ue. We’ve had lots of fun practising our new sounds and we even finished the week off with tricky word bingo!
Online phonics
We are enjoying our online phonics sessions with Miss Stubbs and Miss Parkin. We have learnt two new phase 5 sounds ‘ea’ and ‘oy’.
KS1 Party time.

Mrs Knapton said her goodbyes to the children in KS1 today as we celebrated her 24years at Rockingham Junior and Infant School. Celebrating achievements!
Today we celebrated children who have shown resilience beyond believe this year and overcoming barriers to learning to make sure they succeed. Continuing to learn even when bubbles have closed and school had closed embracing every second of 2020. We are proud of you all.
When Father Christmas Visits RJI.
Our Children have loved having a message from Father Christmas this year. He has been watching you all carefully and has seen what super learners you have been. I hope you all loved your presents. A special thank you to all of our children and hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your families.
KS1 Does the Nativity.
Our KS1 children have produced a fabulous production of the Nativity. Thank you to all the children and staff for putting together a wonderful performance.
